Zato moramo prednostno poskrbeti za kakovosten spanec oskrbovancev in bolnikov v ustanovah za dolgotrajno oskrbo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Ve\u010dina nas ve, da je spanje pomembno za na\u0161e du\u0161evno in telesno zdravje. Po slabi no\u010di, ko se premetavamo in obra\u010damo, se lahko po\u010dutimo slabo in brezvoljno. Obenem je spanje zelo osebna stvar. Najraje spimo v svojih posteljah, s svojim vzglavnikom in odejo, zato nas lahko zvoki, ki nam niso znani, prebudijo ali pa zaradi njih te\u017eko zaspimo. Naslednji\u010d ni potrebno veliko, da se prebudimo.<\/p>\n<p>Za osebe, ki \u017eivijo v domovih starej\u0161ih ali drugih oskrbovalnih ustanovah, so pogoji za dober spanec pogosto slab\u0161i. Urnik oskrbe jim dolo\u010da, kdaj in kako naj spijo, motnje no\u010dnega spanca so pogostej\u0161e, poleg tega pa je veliko mote\u010dih elementov, kot so lu\u010di in zvoki.<\/p>\n<p>Starej\u0161i ljudje v ustanovah za dolgotrajno oskrbo dejansko pogosto do\u017eivljajo dolo\u010dene vrste motnje spanja. V neki \u0161tudiji, opravljeni na 492 oskrbovancih domov starej\u0161ih, so poro\u010dali, da 69 % oskrbovancev spi preko dneva, 60 % pa jih je imelo moten no\u010dni spanec (1). Pri oskrbovancih, ki \u017eivijo z demenco, je slabo spanje \u0161e pogostej\u0161e, z napredovanjem bolezni pa vse bolj razdrobljeno (1).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Posledice slabega spanca<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Slabo spanje ima ve\u010d negativnih posledic za oskrbovance. Med njimi so razdra\u017eljivost, slab\u0161a koncentracija in spomin, po\u010dasnej\u0161i reakcijski \u010das in slab\u0161a u\u010dinkovitost (2).<\/p>\n<p>V praksi to lahko povzro\u010di ve\u010d konfliktov z osebjem, na primer, ko mora osebje preveriti pripomo\u010dek za inkontinenco. Poleg tega imajo oskrbovanci manj energije za rehabilitacijo in obiske. Zaradi dobrega spanca ostane energija za rehabilitacijske vaje, obiske prijateljev in dru\u017eine ter dru\u017eabne dejavnosti. Vse to skupaj pove\u010duje kakovost \u017eivljenja oskrbovancev.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Dejavniki, ki motijo spanec<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Danes imajo osebe, ki \u017eivijo v ustanovah za dolgotrajno oskrbo, bolj zapletene bolezni in so v slab\u0161em stanju, kot smo bili vajeni doslej. Ve\u010d oskrbovancev potrebuje zdravila, premestitev ali pripomo\u010dke za inkontinenco. Te dejavnosti potekajo tudi pono\u010di, zaradi \u010desar je te\u017eko ustvariti pogoje za dober spanec.<\/p>\n<p>V domovih starej\u0161ih obstaja ve\u010d dejavnikov, ki sami po sebi motijo spanje oskrbovancev.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nekateri od teh dejavnikov so:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>mo\u010dne lu\u010di &#8211; tudi pono\u010di,<\/li>\n<li>hrup &#8211; zaradi drugih oskrbovancev, oskrbovalcev, televizorjev, medicinske opreme in drugih dejavnikov,<\/li>\n<li>oskrba oseb z inkontinenco &#8211; preverjanje pripomo\u010dkov za inkontinenco preko no\u010di in v primeru iztekanja menjave obla\u010dil in posteljnine,<\/li>\n<li>majhna izpostavljenost son\u010dni svetlobi preko dneva ali ni\u010d izpostavljenosti son\u010dni svetlobi,<\/li>\n<li>preve\u010d kofeina \u010dez dan,<\/li>\n<li>ni\u010d ali premalo telesne aktivnosti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kljub temu lahko k slabemu spancu prispevajo tudi drugi dejavniki, kot so zdravila in psihi\u010dna stanja. V neki \\u0161tudiji, opravljeni na 492 oskrbovancih domov starej\\u0161ih, so poro\\u010dali, da 69 % oskrbovancev spi preko dneva, 60 % pa jih je imelo moten no\\u010dni spanec (1).
